Kathy has over 10 years of experience working in the field of nutrition. She has worked with many individuals helping them to lose or maintain weight, improve their health, and learn more about how to care for themselves with the food they eat. She has undergone many years of training and offers nutrition counseling based on the latest scientific evidence in the field of nutrition. She is a registered and licensed dietitian, the only type of nutritionist permitted to practice dietetics/nutrition in North Carolina.
Kathy knew she wanted to become a dietitian from a young age after reading about the career in a booklet she received at school. Becoming a dietitian was a natural fit combining her love of food and helping others. Her passion is to empower people to improve their health through food and nutrition.
She wants to teach people how to better care for themselves to help avoid many chronic diseases that have been found to be related to diet/food intake. The number of people with kidney disease is rapidly increasing and she wants to help people learn to change their nutrition habits to prevent or slow kidney disease.
Kathy has been married to Brent for over 18 years and they have three children ages 15, 11, and 7.
